Black Diamond is located in Washington State about 30 miles southeast of Seattle.
It's near the Cascade Mountain foothills, and only a 50 minute drive to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort.
Like nearly everywhere, it's a growing area, but we're still very near wilderness.
We get the privilege of seeing wildlife quite often. There are four state parks all within
a 15 minute drive from our house. And more than 30 miles of excellent
singletrack mountain bike trails are only less than a half mile away!
Black Diamond's history is based on coal mining, and there is currently one large coal mine remaining that is being filled in.
